> Holding potential, on the cusp of fame

Flip into battle with the Nerf Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-8 blaster! The blaster features 8 barrels -- 4 face forward and 4 face backward. Launch darts from the 4 front-facing barrels, then flip the 4 rear barrels forward to keep on blasting darts. Just when your opponents think you’re out, you can take them by surprise with 4 more fully-loaded barrels! The back-to-back barrels are connected, making it quick and easy to rotate them by pulling back the sight. The sight on top of the blaster doubles as the flip mechanism; pull it back to pivot the barrels. Each barrel holds 1 dart, giving the blaster an 8-dart capacity. Pull down the handle to prime the blaster, and press the trigger to launch 1 dart. Includes 8 Official Nerf Elite 2.0 foam darts. Eyewear recommended (not included). Hand-powered by you (no batteries required). Nerf and all related properties are trademarks of Hasbro.

Update: The nerf gun wasn’t jammed, just wasn’t clear on how to use the gun. But here’s a little tip, the green scope at the top needs to be pushed forward in order for the gun to shoot
This was a must have on my son's Christmas list as he was bombarded by the commercials for it while watching TV. Unfortunately looking cool on TV and looking cool while in the midst of a NERF battle are two different things. You have to slide the little green piece to flip the barrels and if you don't have it positioned just right everything locks up. My son was also confused by the fact that you charge it by pulling the lever on the grip which he's not used to. A lot of moving parts to it so I'm concerned it's not going to hold up well to repeated use. Next time I'd probably ignore his preferences and go with a more conventional NERF blaster.
This gun is great and shoots a nice distance. My daughter struggles a bit to do the pull back thing so she can shoot again. She is petite young lady. It would be good to know that a younger child would also probably struggle. The cool thing about the gun is how you load 4 bullets on one side and then it flips to see the 4 on the other side. I would recommend this to a strong child! It’s a fun dart gun!

My child definitely loved it as a gift. It is easy to figure out and easy to load. He loves it
I like how it looks like it holds 4 darts but it holds 8 darts

This item ships in pieces in a brown cardboard box, NOT a Nerf product box. Gun seems fine.

Perfect gift for and young guy-or-gal entering 5th grade! NERF makes only the best toys. I gave it to my grandson. I am certain he will have a blast!
The gun doesn't shoot sometimes even when loaded. When you use the flipping action all of the bullets just flip out all over the place. Not a good gun at all. We own several models and no one ever wants to use this model.
