I Like Everything about Lite Brite.

So much better than the original. This has led lights. You don't have to worry about it getting hot like the old version that had a regular incandescent light bulb. Much thinner and easier to carry around. Works on batteries. My only complaint is that it could use more lights. It just needs to be a little brighter as it seems that there's not enough light to illuminate all the pegs. Other than that, it's a great toy.
I recently purchased the Lite Brite Ultimate Classic as a Christmas gift for my Gen X wife, and it turned out to be an absolute hit! This nostalgic toy not only brought back fond memories from her childhood but also provided endless hours of creative fun for our whole family as mom and dad got to relive their childhood. The vibrant, glowing pegs and the intricate templates allowed her to unleash her artistic side, creating mesmerizing designs that lit up our room with a beautiful array of colors. It's incredible how this classic toy has stood the test of time, captivating both children and adults alike. The Lite Brite Ultimate Classic is not just a trip down memory lane; it's a timeless creative activity that sparks imagination and provides a delightful experience for all ages. The quality of the toy is exceptional, ensuring durability and long-lasting entertainment. Needless to say, this gift was a perfect choice, and I couldn't be happier with the joy it brought to my wife's heart. I highly recommend the Lite Brite Ultimate Classic to anyone looking for a unique and nostalgic gift. Its ability to transport you back to the simplicity of childhood while fostering creativity is truly remarkable. Whether you're a child exploring the wonders of light and color for the first time or an adult reminiscing about the good old days, this toy offers an enchanting experience for everyone. The thoughtful design and the enduring appeal of Lite Brite make it a fantastic choice for gifts, especially for those who grew up in the Gen X era. It's more than just a toy; it's a timeless treasure that brings joy, creativity, and a touch of magic to any occasion. Five stars without a doubt!

I purchased this game for three young children, ages 6 and 8 years of age. Great family game! I’m certain they will love this game!

Great classic toy, my kid loves it, not over priced and works pretty well. My only issue is the top 4 rows of lights have never worked but she still enjoys it.
Like a lot of shoppers, I had a Lite Brite as a kid and was nostalgic. I bought it on a whim and didn't look at the reviews. PROS * It's thinner than the original and small enough that you can hold it in your hand. * (Subjective) The power switch toggles between on/flash1/flash2/flash3/off. Mine worked with no issues. If you like the flashy lights, you might like this feature * You don't need templates or black construction paper. They designed it with pieces of black plastic that fold back into place when you remove the peg. I imagine that if I leave the same design for months, the design might fail and remain open to the light. In that case it would be a con. CONS * Zero instructions for use. You have to just figure it out. * The light will not stay on. It turns itself off after about 3 minutes. * The lights aren't evenly distributed. They're noticeably brighter in the middle. (I did not take a picture of that.) * It's quite a bit smaller than the one I had when I was a kid. * It works on batteries and doesn't have the option to plug it in and let the light remain on. * When you take it apart, you can see the cheap construction, the circuit board, and the lines to the single LED lights. * After I fixed it, I'm happy with it. I wanted to use an outlet and not batteries. I wanted the light to stay on when I turned it on. I had a Philips Hue Lightstrip sitting around that I wasn't using. I placed it in my Lite Brite and it now comes on during my programmed work hours, providing me with some fun decor while I work from home. MY FIX: I ran a strip of LED lights into the back of the box and distributed them around the plastic parts. This provides more and better light distribution. It also allows me to plug in the light to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off. 1. Remove the back panel - I took out the batteries and unscrewed all of the screws on the back panel (8). I removed the front panel and the piece of paper that covered the lights. 2. Remove the screws from the circuit board and pull the circuit board gently off the power button. 3. Pop the power button out of place. 4. Run the light strip through the power hole and place the lights evenly throughout the box. 5. Place the front cover back on and flip it over to return the 8 screws to the cover. I hope this helps others.

Reminded me of the hours I played with this toy as a kid. I got it for a secret Santa gift. I hope they have as much fun.
