Learning Resources 3060 Farmers Market Color Sorting Set

Not sure why this said it wasn't safe for children under 3 years old. All the fruit that came with ours was massive and perfect for a supervised toddler. The fruit is colorful (5 colors) and the sorting baskets make this a great way to teach not only sorting but colors and evenually names of fruits when they get a little older. It will be fun play shopping and cooking with as they turn from toddlers to preschoolers. Definitely a toy they can grow with. I bought it for fun at Grandma's house for the toddlers and can see them enjoying it for years to come.

This toy is so versatile! The fruit has great detail and they are very sturdy. I love playing with this set with my 2yo son and teaching him about colors, fruits, and vegetables. He also uses them when he plays in his kitchen. I feel like this is a gift that cannot go wrong

My kids love these! They are great for learning colors and sorting. The fruit are very durable and easy to clean. The kids also love using the fruit for their play kitchen and the baskets as bowls. Overall, I would recommend for all toddlers/pre schoolers!

The media could not be loaded. Pleasantly surprised with the material. The fruit isn't thin plastic at all. It's some kind of rubbery material. And the baskets are thick and durable plastic. My son has chewed all over these bad boys and they still look brand new with a little washing. We love them. The farmers market look is so cute if you have a play kitchen and older kids but right now we are learning our colors and sorting but once he grows old enough to play kitchen they will be a nice little collection to have! Not giving these away any time soon!

Do not have photo- got for a gift The overall quality of the product was outstanding, the fruit and Veggies were honestly great quality not the cheap plastic that bends in easy it was more of like a rubber, but in a good way! The buckets were just plastic and I saw a few people paint the insides I think that's a fantastic idea instead of the stickers it comes with! Also size is great, and there was no weird plastic or rubber smell! I would recommend for sure!

Very pleased with the quality of this product! The kids enjoy the colors, hand feel and size of the fruits and vegetables. They are larger than I expected but they are easy for young children to pick up and play with. They are easy to wash and clean which is a big plus for me.

This is a nice set. Good size for little hands. They don’ t dent or deflate when the kids bite them. Vibrant colors. Lots of options for play kitchen, farmer's market, counting or sorting.

Learning Resources has done a nice job of combining a learning opportunity (colors, sorting, fruit/veggie identification) with a wonderful set of play food that will work great in your child's play kitchen. The set contains 5 plastic "farmer's market" bushel baskets with 25 pieces of play food (5 of each color). I mainly selected this item because I was looking to add additional fruits and veggies to our play food stash. The teaching opportunities with this set are just an added bonus for me. There's a nice variety of play food which includes some you don't typically see in other play food sets (eggplant, cucumber, pumpkin, 3 different colors of pepper, yellow apple, peach, plum). Like all Learning Resources play food, the quality is amazing. As an early childhood teacher and a mama, I've seen my fair share of plastic play food and I did a lot of comparison shopping before I purchased the play food for our play kitchen. Unlike others, this food is well sized, very detailed and made of soft plastic (it has a little give if you press it). Take a look at my photos and you can see some side by side comparisons of "other" play food (left) vs. the Learning Resources food (right). You'll see from the picture that the Learning Resources food is much more realistic looking. To get a sense of size, I've also included a picture of the tomato and orange pepper on our play kitchen's counter (the Ikea duktig). Another nice touch is that the sorting baskets have a color label on the outside and inside of the basket. It's a thoughtful detail and helps children who may be looking down into the basket when they're sorting. While I'm using this in my home, given that the food is so realistic looking and durable and there are lots of learning opportunities with the set, it would make a great addition to a childcare/school setting as well. ** I purchased this product at full price for use in our home.
