Milescraft 1312 Drill Block - Handheld Guide for 6 Drill Bit Sizes

This thing is great. I’ve been clamping it down with locking c-clamp/vice-grip style pliers to drill 1/4” deep holes in the back of 3/8” composite panels and it’s been really nice to have. No worrying about the bit wandering. A little hard to perfectly line up with your marks for hole location, but thankfully in my application “pretty close” works.

For when you can't get a drill press in there.

I had to drill over 200 holes in my deck posts for a cable rail system. These holes had to be level and emerge on the opposite side of the posts in exactly the same place, level and centered. This inexpensive product allowed me to achieve that. Once I had it properly placed I clamped it down to the post and drilled. Perfect result every time.

I wanted to make my bass guitar a string through. This tool helped me make nice straight holes. I couldn't have pulled that off without this. Even using this you will always want to set punch where you are going to drill so your drill has a spot to start in. Once that is done you slip your drill bit through this then find the punch start and you ill get nice straight holes.

This tool is very handy when you have long drill bits and you want to ensure that its perpendicular to the wood. Also the wave design helps in various situation depending of the size of the wood and the drill bit hole you will be using. I am very happy with the tool. The only issue I have is that I cannot use it for smaller drill bits. I wish they come up with a solution for smaller drill bits as well like may be able to open it into half the height or tapering it at one end for smaller size bits.

Had a big woodworking project so I purchased this just to try. It works great. Easy to drill straight holes. No wear on jig after drilling. Very impressed.
