I really wanted this to work out for my son. However, it failed pretty badly. It's poorly designed in a lot of ways... First off, take a close look at the picture I attached. When you do an ollie, the board rotates up. If you look closely, the wheels are not touching the ground anymore because now it's rotating on the arcade trainer. This makes the ollie feel different because it is pivoting off a different location than the wheels. So when you take off the arcade trainers, the ollie feels very different. It totally defeats the purpose of using arcade trainers in this case. Why bother learning something when it's going to feel different when you take of the these arcade trainers? Secondly, the material of the arcade trainers . It's very slippery on smooth concrete. Granted, it's a little more stable than not using it, BUT I would imagine the skate trainers that goes around each wheel would work a lot better. Or you'll need to use it on rough road. Also, not a knock against them, just a FYI.....it says it comes in a set of 2. Keep in mind you need 2 per truck. So it's just enough for 1 truck. For ollie's you only should need to lock down one truck but I was thrown off when I first received it. Just a FYI.
I skated for years and pulled out the trusty board. Snapped these on the trucks in seconds (super easy) and it did as it said it did. No more fighting any rolling when trying to hit a trick static (no movement). I would say this is a solid stocking stuffer for a kid learning to skate.

If I had this when I was a kid. The year I took learning to Ollie would have been so much better.
First, my package came within a day and half, wasn’t expensive and made with quality. I was Hesitant to order because there was only one review but I’m so glad I did!! My daughter has been practicing her kick flips in the grass and really needed to do them on the concrete to get better, so this product helps her learn in a little bit of a safer way and build her confidence before using nothing. I’m so glad I found Them!

Old school advice was to start practicing ollies on the grass. Still good advice I think, especially for really young kids (under 8) who really dread falling on blacktop or concrete. But when you ollie on grass, it gives - as you go up the board sinks into the soil a small amount. It's unnatural. This 2-piece trainer gadget solves the problem. You practice on concrete and the board just stays there until it ollies. I imagine that these things should fit loosely on the trucks. Newer trucks are thin - so the board would pivot around the wheel. My old trucks are so thick that the whole trainer moves and the pivot point is the back of the trainer instead of the wheel. I will wait until I get a new board to test these again. These things are well thought out - they are made of a heavy-duty, semi-flexible plastic that seems like a car part. Not a toy.
