This is a cool toy. It's probably best suited for kittens. My cat, Magic, hates it. He is more than eight human years old, and this little ball scares him to death. It runs around the floor like one of those little round vacuum cleaners, all by itself, literally running wherever it can, bumping into things, going down the stairs, getting stuck under the dresser and finding its way out all by itself. It's crazy to watch. You can actually see it "thinking" when it gets stuck, and mostly figures out how to get itself unstuck. The technology behind this thing probably justifies the expense for a cat toy for a younger cat. It's a ton of fun to play with (as a human). If Magic was five years younger, I'd bet he would love it. He's just too timid and too old to be interested in chasing around a little light-up ball going at warp speed... When it bumped into his food and water dispensers, he was clearly upset about it. One big negative. The battery really should be upgraded. I get that the different lights flashing and the constant, crazy movement sucks battery life, but this thing should last much longer than it does. Expect an hour+ of full-on "go" mode, but then after that, you're going to have to recharge it. It was a bit of a disappointment for me and Magic, but maybe a kitten would be best suited for this item. I'm giving mine to my son, who has younger cats. I think they'll like it.

I was not happy with this product. It seemed really cool but my cats did not find it amusing. It bounces around a few times but will ultimately "shut off" if your cat doesn't move it, which my cats weren't. It also dies very quickly.

Smaller than I thought although there was a Pic in ad with cats paw on it that I missed the relative size to paw. It works my cats curious about it but hasn't chased it yet. Only concern is it rolling under my stove or fridge or hard to move dresser and turn itself off and be stuck under it. Might have to make some make shift blockers.
It was a little smaller than I had expected. And so far my cats run from it but we'll see how they feel once they have some time to get used to it. I like the different modes.
The human servants do not provide enough entertainment for us so we made them get this. It has multiple settings and works well on our hardwood floors. We play with it sometimes...but mostly we love to watch it as it rolls around and changes direction when it bumps into stuff...including our paws...or our bodies when we pretend to be furry puddles on the floor... We gave this only 4 stars because the ball doesn't automatically go to its charging location and pur humans can't seem to find it now. Make your humans get one of these, but make sure they keep track of it so it can charged and ready to go when you demand to play with it. 🐾 Suki & Zuko

The product itself works well and the cats seem to like playing with it. It's very small, about the size of a ping pong ball, maybe slightly larger. It seems very durable, and it rolls and bounces as advertised. The only issue is that that battery doesn't seem to have a lot of capacity, it doesn't take very long to charge it, but it only last for a couple hours especially if being played with a lot, so it requires constant charging, if you can find it. Also, I feel the price is a little high for what it is.

My cat is scared of it when it’s on its highest setting, but when you put it in the lower gentle mode, he loves it! It keeps him distracted when I’m away. I usually see him chasing it on our kitty cam. The battery lasts long as well. 🩵😊 reasonably priced as well!
The media could not be loaded. My cat seriously has not stopped chasing this ball around since I set it down. Even as I'm writing this he's intensely watching it waiting for his opportunity to pounce on it 😂. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I'm not sure how apartment friendly it is. Any time it goes on the red setting on a non carpeted area the ball spins so fast that it starts jumping. My cat loves it, but I'm a noise conscious person and all that tapping as it jumps is a bit loud on linoleum and tile. As I was typing that he wore himself out. I would highly recommend this toy.
