Beer Aerator - Sonic Foamer

In a nutshell: YES it does work! I have no idea why some are saying there does not. I’ve purchased 8 of these for gifts. There currently $3 and change a piece. It requires $7.50 in AA batteries lol which is the downfall. I never read the instructions and got it to work within a min. There are 2 buttons and it’s not brain science. Once you press a button it starts to fizz up. I would say all the device seems to do is flatten the beer, which in return to me makes it taste like draft. Cool for $3 every time

Got this for my boyfriend who loves to enjoy a beer or two most nights of the week. He's a complete beer connoisseur so I thought he'd enjoy this. He loves it but hasn't used it as often as I hoped because of the inconvenience of getting it out and setting up (adding water, etc...) great gift though for people who enjoy great beers!

The media could not be loaded. The idea was great, but make very few foam, even in a thin base glass.

We tried numerous times with a measured amount of water and it didn’t work - at all. We tried it with probably 4 or 5 different glasses - beyond the 2 or 3 actual beer glasses we tried - with a range of thicknesses and still nothing. A little tickle of a bubble but that’s all. I am very disappointed. I rarely say this in a review (as most things are not that bad) but do not buy. It’s junk.

The media could not be loaded. As a female craft beer fanatic i know the importance of foam. The foam gives you the smell and from the smell you get the taste. Its interesting how in the US were taught to pour beer without the foam, yet that's exactly how we miss out on experiencing the real taste of beer. A friend of mine (who's actually not a beer fan) sent me a link to a YouTube video she saw with some guys reviewing the Sonic foamer and after taking a look at it I thought I would try it out. I bought one for myself and one as a gift for my boyfriend and gotta say the thing does what it says. Here's the link: [...] I think the important thing when trying out this product is getting the right beer. If the beer doesn't foam- its not the product, its the beer. I'm no expert on beer chemistry, but the capacity of the beer to foam depends on the beer- not the product. Sometimes it may even be that the chemistry of the particular bottle of beer is off or weird, and the beer doesn't foam. And that's the excitement! Is the Sonic Foamer gonna foam the hell outta the beer or is it barely gonna foam at all? And the other thing (the major thing!) is the taste! Try the beer before foaming it and try it after. After foaming it, theres less carbonation and more flavor. The foam totally brings out the flavor that wasn't as strong as before. i mean, its not overpowering, but the beer defintely does taste better. highly recommend it!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. The first time we used it, it worked great. He said he used it the other day and it didn’t work. However, it may be the type of glass used because it doesn’t seem to work on thicker glass bottoms. As long as it continues to work for most glasses, I give it 5 stars!

This little device is cool. For the price, all of my beer drinking friends will have one. warning though, if you do a cold bottle of beer, still in the bottle, it will freeze LOl, it was cool to watch though
