Excellent Quality!

Still trying to contact MS by chat or phone to find out why the activation process did not replace/repair/upgrade the existing free version of Office 356, which was installed on my newly purchased laptop during HP's "automatic" start-up. Got the new software Office 356 suite eventually but not the increased cloud storage I paid for. Spent an entire afternoon trying various re-installs and reading pages of unrelated "tips' for everything but my problem. Their faith in their auto-installer and the lack of useful troubleshooter makes me dread any MS package installation. MS seem too busy making sure they force you into paying for an upgrade or additional storage first and ask questions (good luck with that) later. I used to manage 20+ PC programmers so I am fairly computer literate and this installation interface was truly horrible.

I have had and used Office for many years, so knew what I was getting. The interface between Amazon and Microsoft could be better. When I get on a Microsoft site, it is still asking me to activate, so caused some confusion even though I had activated on Amazon. But after working through this issue, I am happy with the product. I am a home user, more power than I really need, but I’m familiar with it.

What can I say? I needed a word processing program and this does the job. It's a good price and doesn't have anything I don't need.

The Microsoft 365 software is fine but my purchase of a subscription through Amazon was a huge mistake. Not only did I lose the money I paid, but I also wasted a very frustrating hour and a half dealing with 6 customer service representatives - 4 with Microsoft and 2 with Amazon. Both sides show the product key as redeemed, but it didn't activate on the only account I had with Microsoft. When I asked Microsoft to trace it on their system they said that they can't track a purchase made through Amazon.. that Amazon would have to resolve it. Naturally Amazon said there is no problem on their side so there is nothing they can do. This may have been a fluke problem, but I decided to write off the money as a learning experience, and pay full price directly to Microsoft for the subscription.. that worked quickly and flawlessly.

Works well on Mac
