HOVERAir X1 - Follow-Me - Pocket-Sized Drone - HD Video

This drone is awesome! It fits in my hand perfectly. The packaging was really high quality and as I unboxed it I was surprised to see the drone looked exactly like the picture. Included in the package come with: -the drone - 2 batteries - a charging cable/ station - a bag to store and transport the drone. After reading the instructions it was pretty easy and clear how to use. I took a couple of silly videos using the app and they came out in super high quality.

Its foldable design allows it to fit in your pocket, making it the perfect travel companion. Also I enjoy high-quality video with vibrant colors and excellent dynamic range.Quick and easy takeoff from the palm of your hand. Enjoy extended flight time, perfect for capturing your adventures without constant recharging. it even comes with a second battery which is a hug plus. All fans are guarded, so I dont have to worry about it hitting trees, because I am in the woods a lot with my dog. Recommend to everyone who has a pet and like natural trails.

Saw a YouTube review and ordered it the same day and received it the following day. But when charging the batteries, they at first did not want to charge. Thought maybe the cable that is supplied with the drone needed to be use. Finally was able to charge using the output from my V-copter Falcon. Anyway then tried turning on the drone and lights would light on the battery but nothing on the drone/camera also no voice. Tried several time but no go. So have returned and order another waiting to see if this one works. So to be continued. So there are time when things are just not quite right. Want to say that Hover Camera Direct came through. We received a new Hover and the little drone really works just like all the YouTube reviewers said, this little pocket size camera drone is really awesome Now its not going to replace my DJI drones but where it really shines is when you want that quick areal shot you can get it. Just like my little GO 3 or GO 2 camera used for quick shots and the larger camera used for the bulk of a video. But again I must say I have been using my GO 3 more than the Action 4 and I believe I will be using the HoverAir X1 more that other drones that take more time to get in the air. So the HoverAir X1 is a winner.......

The media could not be loaded. FIrst impressions - Upon opening the box, the sleek design and coloring gave me confidence in its quality. Drone kit came with an extra battery + battery charging station, which is fantastic, essentially ensuring non-stop flight time. The instructions were idiot-proof; I was able to get the drone up and running as soon as it was done charging. My first flight had a small issue because I was unable to contain my excitement like a kid on xmas morning, resulting in a battery pack not completely charged. When I ACTUALLY followed the instructions, this worked great. One battery pack will allow about 15 mins in flight time and as I mentioned earlier, the charging dock will charge a secondary battery within that time frame. Drone has multiple AI modes for different situations. I admit I was running the drone indoors (the instructions do recommend going outside) that created some limitations. Favorite modes: Orbit Mode - drone circles around you within a 5 ft radius. Follow Mode - self explantory, drone follows you around (this freaked my dog out lol) Birds-eye mode - this one requires a 16 ft empty space above. the video I uploaded is from this mode. and best for my last MANUAL MODE!!!! Once I figured out how to access the manual controls (through the app on your phone), this was incredibly easy to use. I have flown different drones in the past with controls that were clunky and difficult to use for beginners. The manual controls on this one are again idiot-proof for someone like me. Super manageable to learn which I greatly appreciated. (screenshot of the Manual controls in review) Editor's note: my cat tried to attack the drone in mid-air, beware the jumps on kitties! All in all, I think this is a great product, especially for older kids as well. It's overall utility is astounding - my friend was thinking about using it to take shots of certain hard-to-get-to areas of properties he manages. I highly recommend this product for anyone!
