I'm no audiophile, but ever since I moved to using a GoXLR for audio control for my 2 PC's music listening has been mediocre. I started with a Schiit Loiki Mini+ to tweak tone but w/ the Drop amp/preamp that I had it was still missing something. Enter The Schiit Vali2++. For me it fills the sound out perfectly like a live show. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. The Vali2++ is perfect for me. Thanks Schiit!

Works perfectly. Could not ask for anything more.

This is a very nicely priced and good sounding pre-amp/headphone unit. I am using it for a desktop system with a Fosi v3 amp and a Topping DAC driving a mini-set of Gallo speakers and it really sounds good.

so on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of sound quality and well basically everything, this is perhaps one of the best budget tube amplifiers. I know there is a couple reviews on here from people who claim that it's not very good as a pre-amplifier but that's exactly how I use it and it works great in that way. matter of fact of the time that I've owned it I have yet to hook up a pair of headphones to it. I would recommend however changing out the stock Russian tube, it's not bad but getting one of the basic $20 general electric 5670 tubes that are widely available is a fantastic upgrade and really brings this already great product a step further.
Since late 90s, I have used numerous MP3 players. Now I use AK120(2014) & Plenue(for DSD/2017). Of course I used many earphones(Shure, AT, Sennheiser, Westone, etc.). Instead I had Gigaworks T40 for more than 10 years. Due to financial/space restrictions, setting up amps and speakers has stayed only in my dream. Sometimes I direct connected my source device and the speaker, which ended up a bit disappointment. A couple of weeks ago I came across this product. After some research I decided to buy. I used this cute preamp for about a week. Needless to say this combination can't match proper systems in quality/power of sound. But now I don't need those grandiose systems. I needed sound power just to fill my room. So I can say this amp is worth every penny. It's connecting not-bad source device and affordable powered speakers and making not-irritating, enough-powered sound for me. I guess anyone seeking PC/fi may have combinations similar to mine(or a bit higher). I can tell them this amp is worth giving it a try.
Powers most headphones under $1000 and sounds great. This is high quality audio that allows you to hear all the music clearly. If you have hard to drive headphones look at their Jotunheim or Asgard
