Govee Envisual TV Backlight T2, 16.4ft Wi-Fi LED for 75-85 inch TVs, H605C

I purchased and installed the first T2 setup on my TV and left town for a week to return home and half the camera stopped working. The replacement has been working flawlessly, we’ll see if this one lasts longer than a week when I return home again.

The product works great, however, I have a 75-inch TV and there is extra wire at each corner that sticks out. I wonder if the model for 65" TV would work better. I think it would fit a 85" TV perfectly. -don't use the provided stickers to calibrate the unit. Search for a Govee calibration video on YouTube and use that instead -for white balance, I used a neutral gray video from YouTube -you do not have to hang the camera from the top, it can lay flat under the TV. Mine sits like that behind my soundbar. If you choose this route, when you run the calibration in the Govee app, turn your phone upside down and the calibration works fine.

So I've had this for a couple of weeks now, and I can only speak about the product as is and not longevity. Can you live without it... Absolutely. Should you live without it... Probably not. This really does enhance your watching experience and really colorful movies or animation are going to have a whole new life. FYI, I did buy a size range that was bigger than the TV so that color would be all the way around. Otherwise the corners don't have lights, just so you know.

Since installing the light strip, the viewing experience has been absolutely magical. The entire wall lights up with a relatively responsive glow based on whats on screen. Especially engrossing in colorful scenes like animations, but offers fantastic ambiance with any other scene (e.g. fires, flashlights moving, cool snow scenes, vibrant background colors). A very affordable alternative to HDMI-input color strips. Its not as responsive to within the millisecond as those HDMI inputs, but at a fraction of the price its an excellent product. If you set it up correctly, have a dark area without external light sources, and have sufficient white space behind the TV to defuse the colors - this is a must buy. Installation: The strip installation is a breeze, but actual calibration is where one would need to take special focus. You need to be sure you setup app setting's light direction, color calibration (against a nuetral white screen), saturation and brightness levels, and most importantly play with calibration of the camera. You will get a few orange squares to adhere to TV screen to pinpoint the cameras angles. I personally found better results by moving the calibration points closer inwards into screen by a few inches. Meaning the orange squares place the calibration too close to edge of the TV and this did not provide the best result. I recommend playing around with these points and running a few color test videos on YouTube. Also, keep in mind this technology works by using a camera to see the TV screen. This technology works best in absolute darkness - any reflection on the matte or glossy screen display from outside lights will negative impact your color accuracy. I find the light strip isn't as impressive in the daytime. Support: This is the real reason I am writing the review. Govee support has been impeccable. I had issues getting my camera to work correctly as one of the two lenses was not reading input correctly. They provided instant solutions and sent a replacement for the defunct piece. I was impressed by how swiftly they had resolved my issues, no questions asked. Moreso than the product itself, this impressive support will ensure I buy more Govee devices.

I had a smaller Govee backlight on a smaller TV and absolutely loved it when watching movies. I got a 75” TV now so I upgraded to the bigger model with two cameras. This one is even better! The two cameras make sure to capture all the colors and project them behind the TV. Set up and calibration was easy. Absolutely love watching movies with these lights. Good to have the ability to control from my phone too. I think they are worth every penny if you enjoy watching movies.

Have really enjoyed these lights. Can’t imagine watching tv without them now. Have this paired with the basic floor lamps and once I found the settings we liked it’s great.

I purchased the T1 version a couple of years ago and loved it. This next generation is outstanding. It is brighter, more responsive, and makes a huge difference when you are watching movies. It truly does make it a more immersive experience. If you have the 1st Gen it is absolutely worth the upgrade. If this is your first purchase, you will be more than satisfied. I feel like I don't even need to say this but I will. As with all things Govee, it was well built, easy to install, linking with the app and Google home was a breeze. They just make good stuff that works, what more could you ask for.

This was a purchase by my husband that I was skeptical of, but it's pretty cool. The lights change with the content on the tv and it's not the least bit distracting, it really enhances the watching experience!
