NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000A UltraSafe Car Battery Jump Starter

I ran my battery low by accident on my 2020 Chevy Impala. got the flickering lights. clicking, and what not where it wouldn't turn the starter motor. I'd meant to buy one of these GB40s for a while now, but due to the $100 price tag, I always found a reason to procrastinate. Well, my hand was finally forced, and I bought one. Instructions were clear, though printed very, very tiny. I charged it via USB wall charger I already had for my phone, and once fully charged, hooked it up as directed, got the white confirmation light that the battery has >2V and is thus detected, then pressed the ignition button on my car. VROOM!!! She lives again! I made sure to let my car run for about a hour and a half so the alternator could do its work recharging the battery. The unit with bits and bobs in the included bag is smaller than a football, and is easily tucked into my roadside kit. There's some peace of mind that if I ever need a jump, I have 19 more attempts sitting in there. Do keep in mind the instructions tell you to wait 15 minutes if the first attempt fails, and 15 minutes between any following attempts. Makes sense, as a battery suddenly discharging 1/20th of its stored power no doubt is gonna generate some heat, and you do NOT want to deal with a lithium fire, lemme tell you. The instructions are also VERY clear this unit only works on lead/acid batteries, and to double check your car's manual, as SOME cars out there use a reverse polarity, meaning the positive is the ground, not the negative. Most cars should be negative=ground. As long as you pay attention to the instructions and don't act the fool, this product should work perfectly for you. Pay close attention to procedure, and adhere to said procedure to the letter. Assume you know nothing, because any other assumptions may end in complications. Read the manual.

Your safety should always be the #1 priority when you are out in public and if your vehicle is not starting due to the battery you need to be able to start it to get to safety. Now, regardless of it you have had battery problems before you still need this, if someone else needs a jump you will be able to help them or if your car wont start at all this device can also charge your phone or any other device that uses USB charging. Another wonderful feature that is built in is the lights, you can use the different modes of the lights for various situations; it has several levels of brightness for whatever you need it for, you can use it if you need to walk to a gas station to get gas to bring back for your car if it is dark, or use the flashing light mode in your vehicle if you are stopped anywhere unsafe or if other drivers may not see your car unless you have the light flashing. This jumper has so many useful features it is unsafe to not have one of these in your trunks even just in the case of an emergency. If the engine is larger then what it says it can jump, you need a different model. If you do not know anything about cars, you can search up the year, manufacturer, model, and trim of your vehicle to figure out what size engine it is, for example if your vehicle is 2.0L, the device you need to start it has to be able to start a 2.0L engine or more. Overall the best purchase i made for my vehicle was this one, and i have used it many times to jump my car, jump someone else’s vehicle, or just charge my phone.
