I think it's widely compatible enough that this is what I'd recommend to most people. I also own the pricier USB-C / lightning version of this security key, and this one is a better form factor (keychain hold is at one end like a traditional key for example). If you do buy one of these be aware you need at least two of them as you should have a backup. Some accounts get really strict about using security keys, and presume that if you're spending money on a hardware key then you are OK with losing access to your account forever if you lose your keys (ie Apple). Whereas other accounts let you ease into things by adding the keys but still keeping other ways of getting access. Note that this is not a best practice, and probably makes the use of a security key ineffective, but still maybe OK for easing into the secure life. Yubico has a great website with lots of technical support articles, and also links to many external sites of services or accounts one might want to lock down with a yubikey. I've used the USB-C with a mac, with a windows PC, and NFC with an iphone. I have not tested it with an ipad. It works quickly and well, and I'm convinced that this is the best security key right now, assuming that the vendor and the shipper (amazon and yubikey) are both secure themselves, I guess.

I love me new security sense that I won't be hacked again. It's easy to use but it takes a minute for people who are not technology savvy. I couldn't find a way to download and install Linux on my android phone and well let's just say I'm getting hooked on GitHub 🤣 but I think for the price it's perfect.

Easy to setup. Nice alternative to phone auth app, especially working with AWS console

Open source: The YubiKey 5 NFC is open source hardware and software, which means that it's been independently audited for security vulnerabilities. Super easy to setup and easy to use. Make sure you buy 2 in case you lose one. Makes me think wonder why I haven’t been using these all along.

These work great and almost eliminate the chance of getting accounts hacked. However make sure you order the correct one. The Security model does not work with last pass. I have two one for backup incase something happens to the first one. These are very easy to setup and use would highly recommend
